Just to be clear, it's not my comment...just reporting what I've heard. Mean spirited? Probably, although more likely a way to explain the inconsistency between the achievements of blacks on the right side of the center line while those on the left-center side swear the right-center side is racist. When you look at the political leanings of blacks as a group it's even more amazing since the left-centers have 90% to choose from and the right-centers only 10%. I'm not sure why people break things up by race anyway. You never hear how the vote of the red haired or brown eyed people split. I really get tired of hearing things broken out based on skin color. When I filled out the census earlier this year I put down 'other' as my race and filled in 'human' in the blank. "demicans and republicrats. screw me left, screw me right, what's the difference?" You are asking the wrong person. I was simply amazed that two men who are for all practical purposes carbon copies of each other could polarize the country the way it happened. Regards, Barb
