howdee gofer, just noticed a bit of synergy there. my instincts seem to have paid off. can you say yahoo! i can. cisco and others are offering products in this area.. the market and technology are here. when it comes to an overall understanding voice and traditional voice networking i would bet on lucent, nokia, ericson, nortel, etc., before i would bet on cisco. but be aware that the times are a changing and cisco and others will eventually have a presence (on the edge at first).. ip voice technology is here (@65%) and soft switches are around the corner. the transition of voice networks to full ip. if i knew that i'd be rich but look out for carriers like L3. long live this gem. jmho. cnep
