I'm sorry. I was mistaken in that post regarding the chip in the AmEx card. When I made the response earlier I should have gone back and read what I originally wrote. You are right, I did say ATML. I'm sure that is not an ATML chip in the Blue Card. I think ATML may very well find its way there though.

I think Philips makes the biggest chip for Smart Cards (and the most secure). I think DKEY uses them for their CAC cards that are used by NSA/DoD, etc.

What I responded to you with looks like I was trying to cover up a screw up. Sorry about that! I should have gone and read what I wrote that you were responding too.

Having said that, I hope you understand that what I wrote regarding the Gemplus/ATML/IBM crypto-chip is all proper. I just responded incorrectly (and I feel mighty silly about it now).
