mishedlo,

I am referring to the commercial institutions. This includes banks, insurance firms, brokerage houses, etc. The data shows that they have a net 89,000 contracts short on the S&P. This is an historically high number of short contracts for this group of traders and it has been growing for the last few weeks. It is my theory that they are using these contracts as a hedge while they are unloading their long stock positions.

BTDIK.

Joan
