Mike: Those benchmarks show that the P4 would need about an 85% clock speed advantage over the Athlon just to match the Athlon in my application. You might be able to get a lot of that back, possibly even enough to make it worth it, if you optimize your code for SSE(2). That is, optimized SSE(2) COMBINED with the memory bandwidth could make it worth it for you. Probably it would be better to wait for Palomino, though... -fyo
