Side Car Rule - I forget myself exactly what they are. It is the next step after trading curbs if the market gets down 200 + or something. Something like no hand entered mass trading or shut the exchange down for 15 minutes, or shut down the S & P Futures pit for 15 minutes. Whatever, it is the 2nd step in slowing a panic market. Just the mention of it spooks a lot of people.
