She did not have a balcony, and never mentioned a garden, so perhaps not. On the other hand, she certainly went out in the neighborhood in the evening, for example, to the local pub, or to run errands at the delicatessen. She also lived right near the East River.

I have not had an update in quite awhile about the CDC investigation into her death. If I get anything worth reporting, I will put it on the several threads devoted to her.......
