Mkilloran- But who's going to pay $700 for an STB? I think this is the MSO's main point about it's viability. I've been reading huge amounts of hype about PVRs and I'm just not so sure it's going to fly. VoD is so incredibly simple. And free to me! Buying and installing a PVR is expensive and complicated. IMVHO I think the headend is the place to be. Not the STB. -MikeM(From Florida) PS Nice to have someone on the thread even more excited about the cable plant than I. That way I have contrast with my views so I don't seem all that gung-ho about the cable plant. Money is a huge problem with the MSOs and any investor needs to take this into account.
