is this where you find repair tool on your system?

however! if i go to add/remove programs and click on internet explorer 5.5sp1 change/remove, i get a dialog that presents three options.... the 1st (add a component) is grayed out, the 2nd is 'repair internet explorer' and the 3rd is 'restore the previous windows configuration'.

methinks the 2nd choice be the one we're discussing. don't you agree?
