Cobalt, in California the absentee ballots will not change the results of the ellection either. This is what gave rise to the idea that they would not be counted, due to cost etc. but that was not correct. They are counted.

It appears to me to be important to count these actual uncounted votes as the issue of who actually won the popular vote is important for propaganda reasons.
