Believe in or not, Solectron's (SLR) conference may be more important to JDSU than the announcement out of the FED tomorrow.

Solectron just took a big swipe at sell side analysts in their conference call.
As I understand it, seems that they are telling investors don't pay attention to these useless analysts.
It was the biggest shot at sell side analysts I have heard in a company conference call. My guess is that they are frusterated with analysts that don't realize that slowing environments are not bad for contract manufacturers. It just makes outsourcing a bigger trend.

Many parallels to JDSU's business. Optical component makers should be ready to move forward on this news. Most companies are unlike NT and don't have significant inhouse capabilities is what I understand. NT won't expand anymore if they see plenty of capacity coming on line at JDSU--less capital expenditures for NT. These are the kinds of trends Kevin Kalkhoven (former CEO) used to talk late 1999. We just may have forgotten about it a little. This will turn the tide in optical stocks no matter what people like Cramer say.
Wish I was a little longer in my trading position in JDSU. Still expecting opportunities to buy JDSU this year but time may be running out, IMHO.
