>>><<But it angers me to no end when 40,000+ Floridian votes went uncounted in what, >>
Ish: Ballots, not votes. Tough to count them when they have no vote on them. Do you spend a lot of time reading blank sheets of paper?<<<
It's amazing what happens when folks look the other way.
Why are you thinking like a machine, Ish?
After all of this time, you don't realize that when undetached but hanging chads get covered back into their original space, in effect closed while running through the machine, the machine's light won't tabulate that there was, in fact, a vote?
Lots of folks look the other way, rather than report or help to prevent a crime. That's precisely what lots of Republicans did when the Bush Campaign and the United States Supreme Court stole Florida's election results.
We'll find out what really happen once the votes actually do get counted. And, yes, they'll be pro-Bush groups counting, pro-Gore groups counting and--if you can believe--even some neutral groups.
Most likely the votes will be catergorized into the kind of votes they were. Some will add all of the categories of votes and draw conclusions as to what the results would have been and report them accordingly. However, regardless of someone else's conclusion, these votes will be categorized in such a way that the individual viewing the results will be able to come to their own conclusion.
Maybe when these results come out, you'll stop looking the other way. And maybe when these results come out, those five justices on the U.S. Supreme Court will realize their error. Oops, I'm sorry. The Supreme Court was well aware of its own behavior, according to the dissenting opinions. |
