Jim, The Pubs are offering the olive branch Bush spent the weekend spouting his mouth off about how he had no intention of backing down from his "conservative" agenda. (As if $5 trillion in debt is conservative.) BTW: The GOP was after Clinton's hide from the moment he was elected. Dole more or less declared his candidacy on election night 1992.
