That's non-sense. It is up to the company shorted to prove the shorts wrong...not the government. This decline in the market is not the short's fault. That is silly. This market is about supply and demand. If the demand for a company's stock were higher, the shorts would be wrong. The market makes the shorts right or wrong. If you want to stop the shorts, step up and buy? What are you gonna buy?

Naked shorting is a different story though. Naked shorting should be illegal. You want to do something? Fight for that. I told you all to contact the SEC about naked shorting.
