Interesting. There is one other scenario that I can also see happening. I can picture the Fed not cutting rates tomorrow and then people will probably panic. The Naz will start sliding and then the big institutions could step up and we could have a high volume reversal. Remember, guys like you and me can get in and out of a stock quickly without much trouble. Guys like Fidelity and Janus can't wait until Jan to start buying. They have to build positions in stocks sometimes before they are even done going down. So I could also envision the Fed not cutting tomorrow, a nasty sell-off, and then big institutions buying now for the ease in Jan.

Either way, if you are a little patient, I think the market will be significantly higher in January than it is now.
