I don't know if he came up with it. Fred Alan Wolf also wrote another text about the same time called "Parallel Universes". That was good too. I has been years since I read the books and I'm a little fuzzy on who said what. Dreams of Reason I loaned to someone who gave it away when they were done. I was little disappointed when I tried to reclaim it because I remember really liking it. As weird as it seems, I think there are two layers of reality, one that seems mutable and one that doesn't. The main difference between the two seems mostly a function of time and intent.
