I do not insult the majority of Americans, with only 49% of the electorate voting and less than half of them voting Gore. And the word is Clintonesque, which is a very high-brow form, if you please. If the nation were (note the subjunctive usage) nostalgic for Clinton they would have voted Gore. Clinton is the elephant in the democratic tent that people are stumbling around avoiding the obvious. Dems all over are hammering Gore for a poor campaign. How did he snatch defeat from the jaws of victory? Amazing performance, and against a hick idiot from nowhere. Embarrassing, huh? Yeah, and while you are at it tell the nation about character with a straight face. Wag your finger at us all and tell us Bush was a bad boy 20 years ago.
