On the earpiece side sounds good. I can envision some kind of trackball built in where you naturally grip the phone to hold it. The flip-open lid might have to be shaped to fit the hand and still permit free movement of the thumb and two fingers, but I'm sure it can be designed. I prefer trackballs myself. They are very fast and convenient for browsing, imo.
