Home State Holdings has fallen on hard times. From $9 a few months ago to aound 50 cents on 5/30/97.

They're an insurance holding company, and ran into a lot of claims due to bad weather, possibly other problems. A.M. Best downgraded their pools down to D.

Will they survive? Do I care? Zacks rates them a strong buy, and rates them number 1 out of 107 companies in their industry, estimated earnings on 12/97 = $1.23, PE = .2, price to book = .1!!
