RE Greenspan:
I think some of those big company earnings warnings
like Gm and Dcx and msft and intc and etc have seeped into the souls of small bankers everywhere. They must have voiced
their many concerns to the Federal banks about the status of company bond issues which may now be questionable.
I hope they remember the defaults of the savings and loans! not so long ago.
If the Feds and Greenspan don't cut rates we are in dire peril. The head broker called me tonight and talked for an hour. He informed me he was also calling many other clients.
I will assume there has been some bitching, by others,
mostly retired, who have big losses this year.
Not a pretty picture.
What will the Fed give us for Christmas, a bunch of pretty boxes containing margin calls, or the possibility of
of a stabilized market.?
