Dialight supplies complete Traffic light lamps as well as other transportation products which incorporate LED's. We purchase the LED's from a variety of manufacturers depending on the color. Primary suppliers are
Nichia in Japan, and LumiLeds and Agilent, both American Companies.

Any of these companies purchase anything from CREE?

nichia is competition.

lumileds is a joint venture between philips and agilent. agilent is a hewlett packard start up. hewlett packard makes leds in all colors.

hp has SiC blue LEDs.
semiconductor.agilent.com

my guess is hp supplies leds to agilent and lumileds.

lumileds is very involved in auto lighting including brake lights and interior dashboards. my guess is SiC leds are in the dashboards.

cree does not make red.

lumileds has other products to replace neon lights. the website has a photo of a Mrs Winners chicken and biscuit store.

to refine your question further... is hewlett packard a cree SiC customer?
i would assume so. i have no personal knowledge either way.

but this all brings up another more important question. since hewlett packard funded agilent and agilent buys from hewlett packard...and agilent funded lumileds and lumileds buys from agilent is herb short hewlett packard and lumileds too?
