Hi Phil,
I didn't finish posting all that I wanted about basketball. I kept the stories separate to make Michael's part special about his accomplishments.
After Saturday's game we were in the car heading home. It had been an away game. Brian says, "Mom, is next Saturday's game a Home game?" Before I could respond, Kevin answered for me, "No Brian, it is a School game." We all laughed, it was said so cute and so innocently!!
Then at Sunday's game. Kevin was walking along the end of the court. I am not sure where he was going, maybe towards the restrooms. As he was half way across the end of the court, the game caught his interest. The players were all down at the other end of the court. He stood there and watched, without moving, he had looked away from the game. By the time he looked back at the court, the boys were all running towards the basket Kevin was standing near. I caught the look on Kevin's face when he noticed this....I kid you not, he froze, his eyes went WIDE open, and his jaw dropped, he with a deliberate movement, he turned back towards the bleachers.....and took off running. He didn't stop til he got to me. The woman in front of me seen the look on his face and also started laughing. When he got back to me..he jumped into my waiting mommy arms!!!
I am glad I get to experience the wonders of parenting.
