<<oh come one. i realize that cmgi's model is out of favor, but this is a real business, with real revenues, good management, and core positions in major niches. totally out of favor, not going away, not going to a buck, probably will trade 30-50 in 2001>>
You could be right....but there are plenty of "real" businesses that dont do well. "Real Revenue"? Yea, well, revenue don't mean squat if your not making a profit...and look at their revenue model...man, Scary with a capital Scary.
Management....When CMGI was rolling, Wetherall was a genuis...what is he now after investing in all these companies that HAVE GONE UNDER...and ARE going under. How smart is he to have bought shares in his company in the $30's and again in the twenties...and we are now at $7 and dropping.
Like I said, you could be right, and maybe cmgi recovers....but it sure is in question at this point, and certainly the recovery wont be anytime soon, if ever.
