Lee:

They had several billing options, one is yearly. Since I had been a member for two years, I felt it was incumbent on them to remind me of the coming charge (how many people can be reasonably expected to keep track of exact dates of expiration without notice?) - That is my point; an e-mail costs them nothing and can be computer generated, just as Mindspring does as it bills me monthly. How many services bill you without a statement regardless of interval? That is my second point. I am willing to accept reasonable responsibility - I just felt this was not reasonable or an upfront business practice because it is so easy to remedy. This is a computer-based service, eh?

Since there have been several people who were not aware my post was not a waste. I have nothing against the service; I just have not used it for a very long time.

The way they handle the yearly billing that is substandard, IMO, since MG may not be the center of the universe for every subscriber and therefore the exact date may not remembered. That is why I gave the constructive suggestion in my post that people setup a yearly reminder to themselves when they subscribe, although a reminder and a billing statement ain't askin' for much for a nonrefundable service.
