Bombardier Delivers 36th CRJ200 to Atlantic Coast, Airline has 60 Additional Firm Orders Plus 80 Options
TORONTO, ONTARIO--DECEMBER 19, 2000 - 09:55 EST Bombardier Aerospace has delivered the 36th CRJ200* regional jet to Atlantic Coast Airlines Holdings, Inc. (ACAI) of Dulles, Virginia. Atlantic Coast recently announced a follow-on CRJ200 order for 27 aircraft. In addition to the 36 CRJ200 aircraft delivered, the airline still holds firm orders for 60 more CRJ200s plus options for 80 additional CRJ200 aircraft.
Atlantic Coast first ordered CRJ* aircraft from Bombardier in January 1997. Its initial order was for 12 CRJ200 aircraft plus 36 options. The airline's first CRJ aircraft entered the Atlantic Coast fleet in the summer of that year.
Atlantic Coast operates as Atlantic Coast Airlines/United Express in the eastern and midwestern United States and as Atlantic Coast Jet/Delta Connection in the eastern U.S. The company offers about 650 daily departures to 51 destinations in 24 states.
