Greg,

I'm Canadian and invest mostly in Cdn stocks which aren't
usually that interesting south of the border.

For the US:

General Electric - cheap now and will absorb Honeywell
where Allied Signal wasn't. Excellent cross fit and
the GE culture is what Honeywell needs. Long term.

Nortel - beaten up to a good price. Waiting to add a bit
cheaper unless Greenspan does actually lower or send a
very strong signal. Nortel has a lot going and should
pay off in 2 years. Long term.

Canadian:

Bombardier on the TSE. Did 50% again this year. A bit
pricy but very solid growth and gaining share in the
mid size jet market. Long term hold of very solid performer.

Most of my money right now is in a small Cdn biotech
that is speculative but on the verge of the European
market in Arthritis with a very effective product that has
no side effect. Dimethaid (DMX on TSE).

Its around $8 Cdn right now and I fully expect it will
double to triple next 12 months and again 12 months after
that. Planning to list NASDAQ in 2001. Product was just
approved and waiting for a distribution partner deal
expected to be announced soon.

I don't have a normal portfolio and offset higher risk
small caps with solid long term holds but go overweight
on the small caps side.

What about you?
