Paul, Fed strongly hinted that it will cut in January, maybe before the Jan meeting. If they cut today, it would have given a sense of panic or possible Bush influence. The Fed changed from bias towards inflation, to bias towards easing. skipped neutral completely. market would have boomed on cut, then come back. this is more constructive. mkt sold off and is now coming back. there is hope. larry
