OT ---Greenspan can fight inflation by higher interest rates or letting productivity counter balance inflation . It is oblivious which way he decided to go ----shows how much faith he has in technology ( all the verbiage he put out was just garbage ) . The real problem is that he is trying to control the inflation increase cause by oil prices by putting us in a recession . OPEC is already talking about cutting production back ---wake up Alan BEST WISHES BILL PS Per Allan " I am not targeting the stock market " What a statement of mis-information Had to get that off of my chest ! Do not mind bad news but I hate being lied too .
