Tim,

Cutting taxes in a slowing economy and increasing defense spending will cause the deficit to skyrocket. Increased borrowing by the Feds will cause interest rates to go up, further slowing the economy.

Instead of doing a mindless 1.3 trillion tax cut, they should just let the Fed lower interest rates.

The competing philosophies of the Fed and Bush will lead to disaster if left unchecked.
