PC sales are too strong in Germany...

or so it seems, according to influential political groups which want to introduce a special fee of around 40 $ (82 DM) for every new PC - besides, of course, the special fees for CD burners, printers etc.

The reasoning is that PCs (CD burners, printers) can be used to copy music and print texts and thereby violate copyright.

The special fee for CD burners is already introduced, the fees for PCs and printers are to follow shortly. I am sure that this will greatly encourage future PC sales.... :((

Sorry for the rant!

Peter
