re "You aren't the only one who misunderstood" How do you figure I misunderstood? "decided to maintain the existing stance" federalreserve.gov Was not the fed position before today upward bias. Does not "maintain" mean to not change the fed position, therefore when cnbc flashed "no change in fed policy", they were correct, the fed is still upward biased. the bias point is the only one in question, the fed certainly did not cut rates, are we agreed on that.
