Jorj X. McKie, AMCC was added to the S&P 500 index after the close of the bell to replace JP Morgan. Sounds great, right? Well, the S&P has been the kiss of death for technology stocks of late: YHOO, QCOM, BRCM, JDSU, etc. Optical stocks have been killed recently and AMCC is still sporting a fairly high multiple.
