Actually, I think Gore understood that quite well, to the point where, many of us believe, he actually won the election. You see, we still believe that Gore beat Bush in Florida, but through a combination of a flukey ballot design in two counties (Palm and Duval), and suppression of legitimate manual recounts, Bush was able to run out the clock on the election and steal a victory.

Seems to me Bush ought to be concerned about the fact that more people voted against him than in his favor, as he pursues his conservative agenda. But my guess is that he (and you, his most fervant supporters) could give a sh** less. All the better for those who thought he lost in the first place.
