Elmer, Ten and Scumbria, Thanks for the education, I think I've "got it". Scumbria, you made a distinction between "full blown SMP" and "multi-threading". Is anyone doing SMP now, is the difference with "multi-threading" significant? Why do you disagree with Ten that multi-threading is more efficient than multiple CPU's on the same die? This seems VERY significant, if it can be practically implemented. John
