I'd say Greenspan wasn't too worried about pleasing Dubya or Wall Street today. Maybe he's pissed about being made into a patsy for the Street.

I heard an interesting commentary from Ellen Frank at Dollars and Sense today about how the economy is surprisingly poorly understood. It's more chaotic than most realize and things can snowball fast.

I'm sitting here looking at my Wind Inside Portfolio down an average of 40% since midyear and wondering what will be the next block to fall of the wall...Thailand, Japan, Mexico, real estate, the DOW??? I think we'll all be threading water by the time this is over, if we're lucky.
