Let's not be so quick to put Alan Grinch up for sainthood; although I will donate the lumber for the cross. Before his first rate increase, I posted here that the only thing I saw as inflationary was for AG to raise rates. Nothing has changed to move my opinion.

I remember all too well AG, Rubin and Clinton running around proclaiming that the sky was falling to get the World Bank bailout. I remember all too well about an hour after Congress provided the bailout, and on a futures expiration day, a couple of hours before the Markets closed, he announced the sudden, unexpected rate cut. Sorry, it smacked of quid pro quo to me. Didn't affect me, but I felt sorry for the shorts that he obliterated.
