Bombardier Scores Sale in French Africa With Q300 for Air
Senegal International

TORONTO, ONTARIO--DECEMBER 19, 2000 - 17:00 EST
Bombardier Aerospace announced today its first
ever aircraft sale in Senegal with the purchase of a 50-seat Q300*
turboprop airliner by Air Senegal International.

The contract, ratified by the airline's board of directors on Dec.
4, calls for delivery of the aircraft in January 2001. Value of
the transaction is approximately U.S.$14.3 million (Cdn.$20
million).

Air Senegal International, an affiliate partner of Royal Air
Maroc, plans to use its Q300 aircraft on domestic routes within
Senegal as well as regional flights to Gambia, Mauritania, Capo
Verde and Mali beginning in February 2001.

A majority shareholder in Air Senegal International, Royal Air
Maroc is expanding in West Africa. Once operational in February,
Air Senegal International will replace operations currently
undertaken by Air Senegal.

"The Q300's effective Noise and Vibration Suppression (NVS) system
coupled with its operating economics and adaptability to the
African environment makes the aircraft the obvious choice for Air
Senegal International's fleet," said Mr. Mohamed Zouhair El
Aoufir, the airline's managing director.

"We are very happy at the establishment of a strong relationship
with Bombardier Aerospace through this Q300 purchase," said Mr.
Hamid Benbrahim El-Andaloussi, senior vice president, strategy,
international affairs at Royal Air Maroc. "We look forward to our
on-going business dealings with Bombardier.

"We are very proud to be part of an active partnership with Air
Senegal International and Royal Air Maroc," said Steven A.
Ridolfi, president, Bombardier Aerospace, Regional Aircraft. "We
feel strongly that the Q300 is the best aircraft for the role that
Air Senegal International has charted and know that it will
contribute directly to the airline's bottom line," he said.
