What kind of "left wing" porch would it be without the periodic call for a general strike? Why would the Generals want to strike, don't they get paid well. (sorry, I am a sucker for a good straight line...) You wife, my grown sons, and I have all expressed an interest in being involved with some form of protest. I would even be willing to join with others here in the Bay Area and pool contributions to run full page ads in the local papers. I am going to talk to a couple of legal eagle friends tomorrow to discuss how to properly set up a short term political action committee that can accept and disburse contributions. I'll let you know if anything interesting comes of it. My family all agrees, however, that even though some groups may have already started the ball rolling to stage protests, we are going to be careful to avoid certain types of fringe groups.
