damn, I wish I'd been shorting a ton of stuff the last 9 months

If its any consolation Jim, had you had the inclination to short, you would have begun shorting in 1999 when it was clear that these stocks were overvalued by all historical measures and when it was clear that Fed rate hikes would slow the economy down and bring these stocks down to earth.

You would have been wiped out during the runup from Feb 2000 - March 2000. I bet quite a few people were. And then 2 months later the longs on margin were wiped out, lol.
