Cisco Systems (CSCO) 41 3/4: Merrill Lynch downgrades intermediate term opinion to ACCUMULATE from BUY; cites persistent concerns over service provider capital spending and emerging fears over a slowdown in corporate IT spending; believes upside in estimates may be limited given that pricing pressures are accelerating in the corporate market.

08:09 ET Hewlett-Packard (HWP) 31 5/16: Merrill Lynch lowers near-term rating to NEUTRAL from ACCUMULATE as firm's channel checks suggest more risk of another disappointment from HP.
