Well, I am buying small amounts of ARBA, CMRC and FDRY here pre-market. My guess>> we are severely oversold is we have a rally... may only last a day or two.

I will either look like a hero, or and idiot. LOL

The market overall: The market is more similar to 29 than 73-74 IMO. Either way, there are no fundamentals to push the market up. NASDAQ wants a cut in interest rates. Not sure if even that will help... will need a big cut or several smaller ones.

Finally, The Bush Tax cut. I have a feeling that the tax cut that actually gets through congress will benefit only those making less than $100K a year. The real economical stimulus of an across the board cut like Reagan in 81 will never get through this congress. How dare they give a tax cut to the wealthy? So in my opinion, the tax cut will be very insignificant in the short term. In the longer term it will show up later next year as those who make less than $100K are spending even more money than they are now, and getting into debt even deeper than they are now.

The biggest problem I see right now is the huge debt/margin load being supported by the market. Its too much.
