familiar with "wind farms"....but they require a specific geographical location, which limits practicality.....more viable in the proper climate, with a constant prevailing wind, then photovoltaics.....mechanical motion through a gear box/speed increaser affords ability to direct connect to a generator. normally set up as banks of small generators on a bus.
