His only comment was to ask if she had left him anything. I have a cousin about 60 miles away that still sends a Christmas card. We used to go on a fishing trip once a year but he was promoted and hasn't been able to go in the last 5 years. Losing a child anytime is hard but to have that happen during the holidays must be the bottom of the pit. A tragedy just when anticipations are at their highest. I've got to go out and get some eye wash. My left eye is swollen shut for the second day now and being one-eyed makes it tough reading.
