I have been a big defender of Alan Greenspan, because I admire the way he took the inflation bull by the horns and has stuck to his anti-inflation fight for a generation. That being said, I just hope that he also remembers the lesson of 1929 where the Fed turned a bad stock market towndurn into the full blown Great Depression. My guess is that if market loose too much more, you'll see a cut very soon. Personally, my overall portfolio is about even for the year (lots of bonds and Real Estate in addition to stocks) but I know many people who have lost half or more of their marbles. Daryll40
