Yes, I think this is a clear statement that they feel more confident than others about their business prospects going forward. It would be very odd for them to issue a warning after announcing a share buyback. I feel more comfortable now and may actually start to accumulate for the longer term. Lately I have been buying on tanks and selling a few minutes later.

I hope many check out Elantec.com. They are in relatively hot consumer and business sectors - optical storage, DVD, CD-RW, etc. The only weaker sector is DSL boards, but that is only about 11% of their revenue. The bulk of their business is in hot sectors and they have over 150 unique products they have developed.
