The last caller on this week's SOLV conference call identified himself as Bill Murray. He spoke in terms of the strategic need of oil now and the mid part of the century. Having known some people from that era he sounded authentic to me. Mentioned some thing about his work at commission. Only big one at that time was Texas Railroad Commission. I believe him to be Commissioner William J Murray, Jr. 1946 - 1962 rrc.state.tx.us based on the brief bio. While I do not believe he was recommended (prudently so) the purchase of SOLV stock he was endorsing SOLV management in their development of secure petroleum resources.

As he indicated he was involved in a number of large war projects including first nylon plant in Texas. Oil was critical. Allied efforts floated on an ocean of Texas crude oil. Nazis and Japanese were cut off from foreign supplies of oil and lost the war.

I have been known to stretch a point or two, and took your Gordon Gecko improv with a grain of salt. However you clearly feel this company should not exist. This country has and continues to put our armed forces at risk for access to foreign oil. In the past the costs here have been immensely higher.

I forget though, shorts don't pay taxes (post 3162).
