Anti-trust has a positive effect on inflation. It is normal to expect a high margin item to attract competitors. Without anti-trust there is some advantage to the competitor itself when it is bought out, but none to the general public in the form of more stable and lower prices for the item (which is now in competition). Competition puts a greater throttle on inflation than interest rates.
