I thought this was the Dell thread.

2 cents: Why does Dell bundle MS Office Small Business and a free year of ISP from msn with practically every laptop, and many desktops? It asks the customer to buy something he doesn't want, or already has. I don't need another ISP and when I choose one it will be based on other factors (like speed and accessibility from multiple sites - home and office) than being free. When I want Office, I want Pro or Premium, and if I would get SB, I would have no upgrade path at Dell and still need to pay for the fuller version of Office I want.

I've considered new laptops and desktops from Dell, and every time I go through their pricing, I turn away.

IMO they need to review their pricing because it is focused on the first time buyer, which doesn't reflect their original and correct understanding that the 2nd and 3rd ... time buyer is their original market.

Maybe it's part of a strategy to get the stock price lower and reprice options or a GPT.
