Hi Bob, This particular bond fund (GSF) is made up of long maturity debt. It follows a trendline that correlates with FED policy of raising or lowering interest rates. I don't think there's any correlation with UOPIX, however. Generally it's a very long slow sine wave for the bond fund. It did have a serious change from that usual pattern back with the Russian bond crash as they were holding some of that paper at the time. As a substitute for money market funds, it's better to use a short term govt. bond fund as the price/share doesn't vary as much. You don't want to be caught with the bond fund price/share down and have to sell to buy more of the stock fund which is also down. Best regards, Tom
