Why does George W look and sound like Alfred E. Newman? W's vaunted tax cuts would terminate prospects for interest rate cuts faster than he could pronounce a 3-syllable word. He's talking up a recession much like Jimmy C talked up malaise. Anything for that tax cut. Got to piss on the tree to make it his - doesn't matter that his pee may kill it. Very clever.
